A tree salvage operationRegularly hugh trees are taken down and usually go to the firewood pile. Often they are 100 plus years old. Hidden inside these trees are colors and grain patterns that would never be found in the typical lumber yard. A slab of wood for such a tree may reveal natures art such as we see in the table top above. George Guimond and his wife, Sherrill, get their winter's wood.
