A tree's hidden beauty

Who would have thought one would have uncovered such beautiful wood from a salvaged tree?

Welcome to our website. Nature has the wonderful capability of producing art in hidden places. One of those exciting places is in the majestic tree. Sometimes the wood can be very lively and other times very calming. Either way the woodworker's challenge is to bring out the beauty of the wood, lively or calm to produce beautiful and functional furniture. Explore the site to see how the marriage of wood and design continues to evolve in our projects.

A tree salvage operation

Regularly hugh trees are taken down and usually go to the firewood pile. Often they are 100 plus years old. Hidden inside these trees are colors and grain patterns that would never be found in the typical lumber yard. A slab of wood for such a tree may reveal natures art such as we see in the table top above.

The details

Carving is an important part of some of our creations. Other time it's reading the wood and following the natural lines and flaws in the wood to create something unique.
